Is It Cake Season 3 Serves Up More Family Fun

Comedian Mikey Day reunites with Netflix for Season 3 of the hit show Is It Cake. Deception is the name of the game for the world’s most talented bakers, who will compete to create hyper-realistic cakes that look exactly like everyday objects – with cash on the line. But are they good enough to deceive a panel of celebrity judges… and you? You’ll be asking yourself, ‘Is it real?’ Or…Is It Cake?”

The show’s third-season bakers are Kristen Eagles, Grace Pak, Raina Washington, Timmy Norman, Jujhar Mann, Henderson Gonzalez, Julie McAllister, and Caitlin Taylor. Additionally, the show is set to feature guest judges, who are distinguished personnel from the entertainment industry. The guest judges, with their respective areas of specialization, include comedians Jillian Bell, Jay Pharoah, and Liza Koshy, as well as actors Michael Ealy and Storm Reid.

Season 3 adheres to the same structure as the previous one. While it would be imprudent to delve into the intricacies of the challenges, it is worth noting that the creative team devises imaginative concepts for the cakes. The most notable was the water gun cake, which was particularly impressive. A significant component of the program’s appeal lies in the amiable host, Day, ability to engage in witty repartee with the contestants.

One of the things I respect about the show is the way the constants keep it professional and have respect for fellow competitors. The bakers are all about positivity, and there is no backstabbing or sabotage. It is a fun atmosphere as everyone tries to figure out the best way to disguise their cakes from the judges.

“Is It Cake” continues to provide simplistic family entertainment. However, if I could make one change for a fourth season, I would like to see the constants bake with celebrity teammates.

Final Grade: B+

“Is It Cake Season 3” will premiere globally on Netflix on March 29th.

“Music By John Williams” gives a legendary Maestro his flowers

On a musical level, the documentary is a library of Williams’ great works. It’s dramatic performances of his most famous songs, such as the classic “Star Wars” marches, the grand piano music from “Jurassic Park,” and the melancholy music from “Schindler’s List.” Each song is part of a narrative, a call to revisit old films and remember their heart-wrenching connections. Its thrilling finale (which celebrated his work on “Harry Potter”) also underscores the longevity of his music among audiences today.

“SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY” is a lovely tribute
