Watcher is a decent debut from Chloe Okuno

For her feature film debut, film director Chloe Okuno teams with scream queen Maika Monroe for the suspense film Watcher from IFC Films.
Second Listen Sunday : Justin Guarini, Justin Guarini

That is right, folks, I am speaking of none other than Justin Guarini, whose self-titled debut arrived in stories on June 10th, 2003. While Guarini was never necessarily a front on the show, he was a constant presence when he covered artists such as Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Nat King Cole, and Al Green.
The Bob’s Burgers Movie is a well done adaptation

Another fan-favorite animated series receives the big-screen treatment in 20th Century Studios, The Bob’s Burgers Movie. Series creators Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman co-direct the animated, big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on the long-running Emmy-winning series.
Slow Jam Saturday: Corey Clark , Love’s Melody

For this week’s Slow Jam Saturday, I wanted to give some flowers to Season 2 contestant Corey Clark. While Clark’s disqualification from the show was highly publicized, he could always carry a tune, and it would have been great to see how far he could have gotten on the show.
Bobby Brown is the King of his destiny in Every Little Step

R&B’s original bad boy Mr. Bobby Brown returns to the television screen for another reality show with Bobby Brown: Every Little Step. Vendetta is a mundane revenge flick

Writer and director Jared Cohn make a return to the world of action in Vendetta. After his daughter is the victim of a brutal murder set up by local kingpin Donnie (Bruce Willis) and legal justice looks unlikely, William Duncan (Clive Standen) takes the law into his own hands.
Montana Story is textbook Sundance fare

Coming to grips with the past is the centerpiece of Bleecker Street’s family drama Montana Story. Writing and directing duo Scott McGehee and David Siegel collaborate again for the film, which I must warn viewers is a slow-moving drama.
Second Listen Sunday : Link, Sex Down

There was a singer who shall remain nameless set the tone for the nineties slow jams. However as nineties R&B fans know there were tons of singers who provided quality albums and tracks when it came to making a playlist via audiocassette. Lincoln Browder, better known as Link, was one of the singers.
Slow Jam Saturday : New Edition, Helplessly In Love

R&B group New Edition was at crossroads in the summer of 1987. The group’s fourth album, Under the Blue Moon, and their only one as a quartet, had only achieved gold sales. Those numbers were very different from the platinum sales of their previous two albums.
Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers is a lively good time

The other animated chipmunks you grew up with receive a live-action feature film in Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers from director Akiva Schaffer. Chip and Dale live amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, but their lives are pretty different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was canceled, and Chip (voice of John Mulaney) has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance sales clerk.
Alex Garland explores toxic masculinity in Men

Director Alex Garland takes a foray into folk horror for his junior film, Men from A24. In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Jessie Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal.
Second Listen Sunday : Kci, My Book

No matter what the musical genre is when it comes to groups, there is always a clamoring for a member to pursue solo endeavors. Kci Hailey of Jodeci is a singer in this category ever since Jodeci made its debut. Like most R&B fans, when Kci delivered his first solo record (a cover of Bobby Womack’s “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” on Jason’s Lyric soundtrack in 1994, I thought a solo debut was right around the corner.
